Foreman
Responsibilities:
- Project scheduling, coordination, and field commitments.
- Project quality control and quality assurance that construction meets or exceeds the plans, specifications, codes, approved shop drawings, submittals, and expected quality.
- All Project Safety requirements.
- Field records reports and documentation.
- Jobsite organization and image.
- Project field communications, meetings, and coordination.
- Project costs vs. budget on all general conditions, cleanup, etc., and all cost plus items.
- Open communication with Project Manager and Company Management.
- Provide a safe work environment with an overall crew satisfaction.
- Effectively communicate with other teams and deparments.
Full Charge Project Foreman Standard Requirements:
- Adept at construction, methods, techniques, and print reading.
- Adept at Bar Chart Scheduling.
- Understanding of:
- General Contract Terms & Conditions
- Subcontract Terms & Conditions
- Knows and uses the "Greenbook" and project specific plans, specs, shop drawings, terms of the contract, schedule commitments, goals and objectives.
- Insures that construction meets plans, specification, submittals, shop drawings, latest project changes, goals and objectives.
- Current and certified in:
- CPR
- First Aid
- Trench Safety
All Foreman are required to have a valid driver's license to be eligible to drive our company vehicle.
Position Requirements
- Prefer a minimum of 4 or more years of experience with pipe laying (dig, lay, backfill operations).
- Use ladders for accessing pip trench / able to work inside trench boxes.
- Have knowledge of using laser levels, builder's Level ("transit") and engineers tape measures.
- Must be a team player, self-starter and should be familiar with the city county and state codes.
- Ability to use various tools.
- Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations.
- OSHA 10 and First Aid Certification (may be obtained upon employment).
- Ability to us safety equipment and work in a safe manner 100% of the time.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, pull and push minimum 50 pounds.
- Be physically qualified for lifting and moving heavy items, agile and capable of walking over rough uneven terrain, etc.
- Ability to twist, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, climb stairs, climb ladders, walk on uneven ground, work above ground on scaffolds.
